What's in a Name!
Our center’s name, Mustard Seed Learning Center, was derived from its significant biblical reference to the mustard seed parable, “…a grain of mustard seed…is the least of all seeds…but when sown, it grows to become great…” Our center believes that if we sow seeds of knowledge even as small as a mustard seed into the lives of the children and families we serve, we will reap a harvest; a future full of hope and exponential possibilities for all.
“Through our faith, [if] even as small as a mustard seed, we believe that nothing is impossible for our children.”

Our Mustard Seed Philosophy

We believe that each child is a unique individual. We are sensitive to each child’s spiritual, social, emotional, physical and academic needs. We provide developmentally appropriate programs that focus on the process of learning while helping our children to enjoy successful experiences.
We believe that learning is a sequential process and that children grow and develop at their own rate. Children learn by actively participating. When provided a variety of materials appropriate for his/her level of development, the child is able to learn skills necessary by hands on interaction without pressure. We carefully monitor each child’s individual progress and gauge their successes accordingly.
We believe that the strength of our program is in the dedication of our teaching staff and parents. Our teachers create a caring, loving and nurturing atmosphere that promotes creativity and fosters a positive self-image in each child, while our dedicated parents, with their continued support & involvement, help to move our center to new heights in the care and education of our children.
We believe that children deserve to be children. Our program is designed to develop in children a sense of independence and responsibility; promote self-esteem and increase confidence, while still allowing their playful nature to be nurtured.
We believe parents are the most significant adults in a child’s life. We strive to create mutual respect between parents and teachers: a collaborative partnership for the benefit of the child. In knowing that parents are their children’s first teacher, we encourage frequent and fluent communication between parents and teachers. Our doors are open to parents at all times.
